Artemisia Annua
"Sweet Wormwood"
This wonderful plant also known as Sweet Wormwood and Sweet Annie has saved millions of lives from Malaria in the past few years. Artemisia annua has been used in traditional medicine for many years in Asia and Africa for the treatment of malaria and fever, in the form of tea or pressed juice.
In 2015 the Nobel Prize in Medicine was awarded to Professor Youyou Tu for her key contributions to the discovery of artemisinin, the main compound found within Artemisia. Recent studies have shown antiviral and anti cancer activity. Doctors and scientists are also talking about using Artemisia after the primary treatment for cancer and tumors to avoid remision.

Published 2020 Jul 15. doi:10.3390/ijms21144986 says that “Artemisia annua” is also described to have anti-hyperlipidemic, anti-plasmodial, anti-convulsant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-cholesterolemic and antiviral properties. Artemisia annua would also have important pharmacological activities such as anti-inflammatory, antitumor and anti-obesity activities that contribute to the therapeutic effects of the plant”.
