Why Choose Pure Essential Oils?

Essential oils are highly concentrated aromatic extracts obtained from plants and used in small quantities for aromatherapy, topical routines and everyday natural care.

Because essential oils are so concentrated, their botanical origin, extraction method and purity matter a lot. I’m Immortelle offers pure essential oils grown, harvested and steam-distilled in Bosnia & Herzegovina, with a focus on transparent production and the natural characteristics of each plant.

Our collection includes Helichrysum italicum, Artemisia annua, Peppermint, Lavender and Rosemary — five distinctive botanicals with different aromas, compositions, benefits and ways to incorporate them into your routine.

If you are new to essential oils, explore our guide to what essential oils are and how they are produced for a deeper introduction to steam distillation and essential oil quality.

Which Essential Oil Is Right for You?

Different essential oils have different aromatic profiles and characteristics, so the right choice depends on how you plan to use them.

Helichrysum italicum essential oil is the signature oil at the heart of I’m Immortelle. Also known as Immortelle, this Mediterranean botanical has a distinctive warm, herbaceous aroma and is particularly popular in natural skin and body-care routines.

Artemisia annua essential oil, also known as Sweet Wormwood, offers an intense herbal aromatic profile and is suited to those looking to explore a less common botanical beyond traditional essential oils.

Peppermint essential oil provides a fresh, cooling and instantly recognisable aromatic profile, making it a popular choice for refreshing and energising routines.

Lavender essential oil has a soft floral-herbal aroma and is a versatile choice for evening rituals, aromatherapy and everyday care.

Rosemary essential oil has a fresh, herbaceous scent and fits naturally into aromatherapy, massage and invigorating daily routines.

You can use the individual product pages above to compare the botanical, aroma, recommended uses and precautions before choosing the oil that best suits your routine.

What Makes I’m Immortelle Essential Oils Different?

The quality of an essential oil begins long before distillation.

Our plants are grown and harvested in Bosnia & Herzegovina and steam-distilled locally at our own distillery, giving us at I’m Immortelle close control over the journey from plant to finished essential oil.

We focus on pure, organic and certified essential oils produced in small batches, rather than heavily formulated blends with long ingredient lists. Each oil retains the distinctive aromatic profile of the botanical from which it is distilled.

This gives you greater transparency about what you are buying: the botanical name, origin and production method are clearly identifiable rather than hidden behind vague fragrance blends.

You can also review our certificates, GC analyses, technical documents and safety sheets to learn more about the quality documentation available for our oils.

Why Does Steam Distillation Matter?

Steam distillation is one of the primary methods used to obtain essential oils from aromatic plant material.

During the process, steam passes through the plant material and carries its volatile aromatic compounds. These are then cooled and separated to obtain the concentrated essential oil.

The process allows the characteristic compounds of botanicals such as Helichrysum, Artemisia, Peppermint, Lavender and Rosemary to be captured without creating a synthetic fragrance.

For I’m Immortelle, production is part of the product itself. Our essential oils are steam-distilled in Bosnia & Herzegovina, close to where the plants are grown and harvested.

How to Use Essential Oils

Because essential oils are concentrated, a small amount goes a long way.

Depending on the individual oil and its recommended directions, essential oils can be incorporated into aromatherapy and wellness routines. Always check the product-specific instructions before use, as different oils may have different concentrations, precautions and recommended applications.

For topical routines, a vegetable carrier oil such as jojoba or rosehip can be used when dilution is appropriate.

For aromatherapy, selected essential oils can be used in a diffuser or incorporated into an aromatic routine according to the product directions.

For detailed instructions, visit our How to Use Essential Oils guide, where you can learn more about different ways to incorporate essential oils and complementary natural products into your routine.

Essential Oils and Carrier Oils: Why Combine Them?

Vegetable oils and essential oils are very different products, but they can complement one another.

Essential oils are highly concentrated aromatic extracts. Vegetable oils such as jojoba oil and rosehip oil are fatty plant oils that can be applied according to their individual directions and used as carrier oils when an essential oil requires dilution for topical application.

A carrier oil helps distribute a small amount of essential oil across a larger area of skin while adding its own texture to the routine.

Always follow the recommended dilution for the specific essential oil rather than assuming the same concentration is appropriate for every oil.

Build a Routine with Essential Oils, Vegetable Oils and Hydrosol

Essential oils can also form part of a broader natural-care routine.

A Helichrysum hydrosol can provide a light, water-based step, while a vegetable oil provides the oil-based layer. Essential oils can be incorporated with both according to their individual recommended use.

If you would rather have complementary products already selected for you, explore our Essential Oil Sets & Combinations, where essential oils are paired with other essential oils, vegetable carrier oils and, in selected routines, hydrosol.

Pure Essential Oils with a Clear Origin

When choosing an essential oil, the label should tell you more than simply how the product smells.

Botanical identity, origin, extraction method and quality documentation all help you understand what is actually inside the bottle.

I’m Immortelle brings these elements together through a focused collection of pure essential oils from Bosnia & Herzegovina, including Helichrysum italicum, Artemisia annua, Peppermint, Lavender and Rosemary.

Explore the essential oils above to compare their botanical profiles, aromas, benefits, sizes, recommended uses and product-specific precautions.

What does 100% pure essential oil mean?

A 100% pure essential oil contains the essential oil obtained from its stated botanical source rather than a fragrance oil or a product diluted with another oil. Always check the ingredients, botanical name and available product documentation when comparing essential oils.

Do essential oils need to be diluted?

Some topical applications call for dilution with a suitable carrier oil because essential oils are highly concentrated. The appropriate method and dilution depend on the specific essential oil, intended use and user, so always follow the individual product directions.

What is the difference between an essential oil and a vegetable oil?

Essential oils are concentrated aromatic plant extracts used in small quantities. Vegetable oils such as jojoba and rosehip are fatty plant oils commonly used directly on the skin and as carrier oils. They have different compositions and serve different roles within a natural-care routine.

Important: Essential oils are highly concentrated products and should be used according to the directions and precautions provided for each individual oil. Perform a patch test before use where appropriate. Keep products away from the eyes and stop using if irritation occurs. Seek qualified professional advice when appropriate, particularly during pregnancy, breastfeeding, for children, when taking medication or when managing a medical condition.
